The Rightful Owner - Secrets of the Blue Hill Library - Book 10
When Anne and Wendy decide to host a used book sale to improve business at the library, they discover that someone has accidentally donated a first edition of a famous Edgar Allen Poe book! After Anne has the book appraised—with its value the equivalent of a small fortune—various members of the community begin approaching Anne claiming that the book belongs to them! Will the rightful owner ever be found? Meanwhile, Anne attempts to convince her son, Ben, to maintain an open mind about literature after he becomes obsessed with a particular series of children’s books. Simultaneously, she must also help Liddie, who appears to be taking a game between her friends too personally. Come to Blue Hill, where adventures are plentiful and every moment is memorable!
Anne and Wendy decide to organize a used book sale to raise money for the library. As Anne is sorting through a box of donations, she discovers a first edition of Edgar Allan Poe's Tales of the Grotesque & Arabesque. The book is beautiful and, Anne suspects, very valuable. Clearly a mistake has been made, and she decides to find out who it belongs to. After an appraiser announces the book's worth, Anne is besieged by townspeople claiming it is theirs. How will she ever find the rightful owner?
Meanwhile, Ben has become enthralled with a children's book series called Coastal Club, to the point that he would rather read than do anything else. Anne has begun to worry about him, but she also has to keep an eye on Liddie, whose game of "trading treasures" with her friends starts to drift out of control.
