About The Book

Charlotte and Bob Stevenson's world is turned upside down by the death of their daughter, Denise. Denise ran away from home as a teenager, and Charlotte has never forgiven herself. Now, Denise's three children are coming to live on Heather Creek Farm. Sam is sixteen and itching for independence; fourteen-year-old Emily is discovering boys and ten-year-old Christopher needs approval. While Charlotte helps the grandchildren she barely knows adjust to their new life, she also wrestles with her own grief. But small joys remind her that God gives grace freely, even in trying times. When Emily discovers her mother's horse in the midst of a difficult birth, the whole family comes together to save the animal that Denise loved. The miracle of new life, along with God's healing touch, reminds all of them that it's always darkest just before the dawn.

I love this series. I have passed them on to my family and friends which they have also enjoyed. It's sad that it's over, I feel it could go on and on. But I guess all good things must come to an end. Anyway thank you for all the wonderful books and the talented authors.

Great Series- Review by Anna

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. Following the Stevenson family as they go through the ups and downs of life and how their faith has sustained them has been inspring. There was only 1 book I didn't like, and it was sad to see it end.

Home to Heather Creek series- Review by Elaine

A friend loaned the first 6 books and I was immediately hooked. I so look forward to each issue. Sorry to know that the series is coming to an end. Each time I read a new book there is something that reminds me of life experiences in my own family. I will miss reading about the Stevensons.

Please continue...- Review by Linda

OK...We want to know "what would Charlotte do?" How are they? Are Pete and Dana having a boy or girl and how is he @ time of babys' arrival? Please authors, don't leave us hanging. The reviews tell you how we love the series....#25???? This is the best Guideposts has ever put out. My set is still in circulation!

Home To Heather Creek Series- Review by Linda

I have read the reveiws. Seems everyone shares my opinion on these books. An avid reader, not to get caught up in fantasy or soap oprah type stories, these are life. If there is interest in the authors to continue, please do so. I actually miss this family. I wonder about each individual. Not in a caught up in a fantasy way, but real life. These books actually help in decision making. Realizing how families are not perfect, but can get through life with problems, through love, tears, prayer, friends...Please start with number 25 and keep them coming. For goodness sake Pete and Dana are havin' a baby and ya left us hangin!!!

Used as a gift...- Review by Doris

Not only have I greatly enjoyed this series myself, but I have given them to my mother, who is now 97, and she loves them as well! My 3 sisters then pass them around to read, but Mother then keeps them afterwards.
They have solved my problem of what to give her on special holidays.
Thank God she is still able to read and enjoy these books, as we do!
Thank you to Guideposts and to the talented authors!!

Best series ever!!!- Review by Jeannette

I have this series and love it! Like the other reviewers I couldn't wait to get the next book and was so disappointed when the series ended. It's the best series you have put out.

Home to Heather Creek- Review by SHEARON

I have so enjoyed this series. Such a heartwarming series.
The characters are loveable and realistic. Reading through this series, I laughted and cried in all the right places. I was so sorry
to actually get to the end of this series. These people were like family, as I entered into reading each book, it was like coming home.
Charlotte and Bob, I can only yearn to have had such wonderful Grandparents. Thank you for such wonderful authors.

Exceedingly Realistic.- Review by Sharon

Oh my goodness! I grew up on a farm. This series nails it! Everything is so realistic--no sugar-coating about idyllic farm life. This series includes all the hardships and difficult work along with the satisfactions and serenity of real rural living. I know it must, but I don't want this series to end!

excellent- Review by Fluke

I recieved most of the first half as a gift. I loaned them to 2 other people before I had time to read them, then couldn't put them down. When I finished number 15, I was so disappointed thinking they had ended. I just called and learned they go up to #24. I cannot wait to get started back with that family. So typical and real, you feel like wanting to meet them. This is the first series of a Guideposts I have truely enjoyed.

Home to Heather Creed Series- Review by Sue

I absolutely love this series. I've read other series from Guideposts but this is by far the best. Like Jill I finish my book in 2-3 days and can't wait for the next. Unfortunately I just found out I have almost finished the series---there are only 2 books left for me to read. I guess I'll have to start with another series.
