Friends and Family – Book 21

When Leo asks Diane out for Valentine’s Day, she politely declines. But what is causing her hesitation? Could it finally be time for her to open her heart to this loyal friend who has shown her such kindness? Meanwhile, Beverly receives a surprise gift with four legs and a waggly tail. Will the pup win her heart or drive a wedge between Jeff and her? Shelley agrees to fill in as manager of the Cove while Rusty is away, but the experience makes her question her ability to take over the business. And Margaret’s decision to cook a gourmet meal for Allan leads to new discoveries about herself.

Compelled by Dennis Calder’s determination to get his hands on the old train station property, the four friends search for ways to preserve the charming but run-down structure by having it designated as a landmark. What they learn, however, implicates Elias Thorpe in a scandal that rocked Marble Cove in the 1950s and changed the town forever.
